The Bonsai Supply in Oakland Park, Florida recently hosted an event that raised funds for a local Good Karma Dog and Cat Rescue organization. The December 9th festival featured a seven person styling event with a bevy of respected Florida bonsai artists including Mary Madison, Ed Trout, Rob Kempinski, Christian Casellas, Adam Lavigne, Toby Diaz and Jesus Brito. Each were given a different species and one action-packed hour to style the tree. The creations were subsequently raffled and the proceeds benefiting the Good Karma Pet Rescue. Over 70 people visited the event to raise funds for abandoned animals. One could even adopt a cute cat or dog at the happening. Mixing bonsai, friendship and a worthwhile charity for dogs and cats certainly means good karma.
